Welcome to the Whats Good In The Hood Event Page, here are a few upcoming events going on in our community!

  • Join together as a community to speak out against violence. The mission of this event is to empower and support survivors of sexual violence, raise awareness, and to assert that it is wrong for anyone to live in fear. Lawrence will join with communities all over the world in participating in a Take Back the Night event and empowering women, men, and children to create violence-free communities. The event will be hosted at the YWCA Fina House. The gathering will begin at 6:30 PM in the parking lot behind the Fina House (off Oak St). There will be representation and speakers from local service agencies. We will then march through the city and end downtown near city hall for a candlelight illumination ceremony.Help take a stand against violence and make the night safe for everyone
